| "What
conditions of work, what kinds of work, what kinds of management, and
what kinds of reward or pay will help human stature to grow healthy, to
its fuller and fullest stature? Classic economic theory, based as it is
on an inadequate theory of human motivation, could be revolutionized by
accepting the reality of higher human needs, including the impulse to
self-actualization and the love for the highest values."

"The sooner we
realize that the quality of the work experience can be transformed at
will, the sooner we can improve this enormously important dimension of
life. Yet most people still believe that work is forever destined to
remain "the curse of Adam."...if workers really enjoyed their jobs they
would not only benefit personally, but sooner or later they would
almost certainly produce more efficiently and reach all the other goals
that now take precedence."

| The
Foundation for Human Potential is pleased to announce a symposium on a
topic that we believe could not be more timely-innovation and
productivity in the workplace. During the planning stages of this
conference, the feedback from business, the media and all disciplines
represented was extraordinary! In our five earlier symposia we looked
closely at creativity, learning and ways to incorporate the theory of
multiple intelligences into the teaching of children. Our interest was
in finding means of encouraging young people, all young people, to
discover their individual strengths and abilities and make the most of
their unique combination of intelligences. The symposia topics were:

Art
and the Brain: A Symposium and Art Exhibit (1988)
Music and the Brain (1992)
Dance, Sports, Movement and the Brain (1995)
Emotional Intelligence, Education and the Brain (1997)
Learning and the Brain: Myths and Realities (2000)

| With
this, the sixth in the series, our focus is not on educating children
but on motivating adult workers at every level to maximize their unique
combination of intelligences on the job-to think outside the box and
approach their work with zeal. The program is aimed at professionals
who are in capacities to create a business culture and climate that
continuously fosters creative thinking and innovation. We are very
excited to offer presentations by a stellar group of professionals,
representing business, arts, education, and neuroscience, all of them
passionate about their own vocations. Following the lsectures, there
will be breakout sessions with facilitators that will attempt to
distill the presentations into functional applications. It is our goal
that attendees will return to their workplaces with new ideas and new
means to encourage innovation and increase productivity.
